Hello everyone! How have you been? I've been so busy since the school holidays started. I was in a science workshop for a few days, where I grew crystals and built a lava lamp! I have also been going for a lot of ballet rehearsals because of our concert this weekend. But I am taking a little time now to host another giveaway!!

My Sister the Vampire

Hi there everyone! How have you been? No, my sister is not a vampire, at least I don't think so haha... that would be quite cool though. This is a picture of me with my new, favourite book -- My Sister the Vampire by Sienna Mercer. It is the story of two girls named Olivia Abbott and Ivy Vega. Olivia moves to Franklin Grove and makes friends at her new school with Ivy. After awhile, the girls discover they are actually long-lost identical twins! Olivia is a sporty cheerleader, and Ivy is a Goth who dresses all in black and wears lots of black eyeliner. The girls start to learn more about each other and then Olivia learns something amazing about her sister and Franklin Grove!

Books, Books And More Books!

Hello again! Today I am going to share with you my love for reading! One of my favourite books is the Geronimo Stilton and Creepella Von Cacklefur series. I have talked about one of the books in this series in my earlier post.

I love reading because you can learn many interesting things. In the series of books Natural Disasters, for example, you can learn about disasters around the world, such as tornadoes, volcanoes, hurricanes etc. Or in The Usborne Detective's Handbook you learn how to be a good detective. Now I know how to question suspects, detect forged paintings and be more observant!

Sometimes I like to read fiction because even though they are not real, it is still fun to read about the adventures the characters in the book have. Rainbow Magic and the Just Grace series are good examples (I have also talked about these books in my older posts here and here).

Books can sometimes be an entertainment when you are waiting or bored. For example, you are going to get your ears pierced and one of the people working at the clinic tells you, "It is very crowded today, please sit down until the doctor calls you", and you just happen to be carrying your library book to return after you pierce your ears. So you can take out the book and reread it and by the time you are done, the doctor calls you in. You see how books can be a big help?

You can be a big help, too. If you have books you don't need or like anymore you can donate them to children from less fortunate families or countries who don't have enough money to buy their own books. But don't read too much or else you will have to wear glasses. And it is not good to wear glasses -- only sunglasses. OK?!? OK, I'm sure you know that, but still.

Here is a picture of the big bookshelf that my Mom and I share. It is actually made up of several bookshelves and takes up a whole wall because it is quite huge. It is filled with the books that we read. The pictures in this post are just two small parts of it.

Just Grace

Hi again! This series of books is called Just Grace by Charise Mericle Harper. It is about an 8-year-old girl named Grace. She is called "Just Grace" because there are three other Graces in her class! The three Graces are: Grace F., Gracie (Gracie calls herself that because she doesn't like Grace) and Grace W. If each Grace didn't have a nickname, then they wouldn't know which Grace the teacher, Miss Lois, is calling!

My Mom told me that in Roman and Greek myth, there really are Graces. They were supposed to be goddeses of beauty and nature and other nice things. People usually say that there were three Graces, but sometimes there were more. 

This book here is Just Grace And The Snack Attack. In this book Grace learns about different foods and cultures, and also makes and tastes food! This book also shows you how to make your own zine (a type of book/magazine which you make out of one piece of paper)! Allie Finkle

This series of books is called Allie Finkle's Rules For Girls by Meg Cabot. Meg Cabot is the same author who wrote The Princess Diaries! It was made into a movie; have you seen it? The Allie Finkle series is about a girl named Allie and her two irritating brothers, Mark and Kevin. The book on top, Best Friends And Drama Queens, is about a new girl who joins Allie's class! Allie is excited at first, but the new girl, Cheyenne, soon becomes a bully. Cheyenne tries to make the whole class obey her and do everything in the same mature way she does. Allie is so upset that everyone, even her best friends, are becoming just like Cheyenne. Allie decides to stand up for herself no matter how many times Cheyenne tries to tell her what to do. What will happen next? Read the book to find out more!

Rainbow Magic

Now I shall tell you about my Rainbow Magic books. As you can see, they are very colourful! Here are just a few of them, but there are tons in this whole series. They are about all sorts of different fairies, like music fairies, weather fairies, dance fairies, ocean fairies, etc. The cover says these books are written by Daisy Meadows, but they are actually written by a bunch of different people. My Mom said they are called ghostwriters!

I'm going to talk about the book Sophie the Sapphire Fairy. The nasty Jack Frost hates summer so he decides to take all the magic gems from the Jewel Faries and hide them in the human world. The fairies' friends, Rachel and Kirsty, try to help, and they find out that Sophie's gem is hidden somewhere in the Tippington Town fountain! Without Sophie's sapphire, all the wishes little children wish will not come true! Will they find it and bring it back to Fairyland, or will the gem remain in the icy hands of Jack Frost? Creepella von Cacklefur

I thought I would share some of my books with you! This is the Creepella von Cacklefur series by Geronimo Stilton. My Mom said that Geronimo Stilton is not the real name of the author, and that the real author is an Italian lady. Well, I had guessed anyway that they were not written by a mouse.

Creepella von Cacklefur is Geronimo Stilton's enchanting and mysterious friend. She has a pet bat named Bitewing. Her father runs a funeral home and the family owns the creepy Cacklefur Castle. The book here is The Thirteen Ghosts. Creepella wants to be a journalist! She wants to write and publish a story in The Shivery News! The title of her article is The Secret Life of the Ghosts of Mysterious Valley.

Creepella decides to go to a haunted mansion to interview some ghosts. On the way, she meets the famous writer, Billy Squeakspeare, who has inherited the mansion. Billy is too afraid to go inside alone, so Creepella and her niece Shivereen lead the way. Are the ghosts inside friendly or frightening? Read the book to find out for yourself!
