Another Big Holiday Adventure!

Hi there! Did you miss me? I've been having a super December vacation! Here are just a few of the things I've been doing!

Shopping! We got some cool books from Kinokuniya, one of my favourite stores. Here I am in front of a store named Shanghai Tang (we did not get anything here -- would you?)!

Watching the Angry Birds show! As you can see, my sister got tired waiting for the show to start. When it did start, she fell asleep on my lap. Those are her sneakers sticking out there.

wish ball1b
Writing my wishes for the new year! These balls will be launched into the bay during the New Year countdown I think. I'm not sure what the point is, but it's fun to write down my hopes and dreams! My wish was: I wish everyone was happy and had a good new year!

Watching the Mr Moon musical! After the musical, people who had come early enough were allowed to take pictures with Mr Moon, Gold Star, Silva and Sunny. My sister and I both like Sunny best.

sylv house
Checking out the huge Sylvanian Families house! I collect Sylvanians, if you don't know. I have a few more posts on Sylvanians and my collection.

Playing in the fountain! This was one of my favourite parts of my holiday. It was a little scary at first, but after awhile my sister and I were having a great time. I got really soaked!

So what have you been doing with your Christmas holidays? Have you put up your tree yet? I've sure been having a great time -- I'm not really looking forward to going back to school! Well, there's still a few more weeks to go till then, and I'm going to enjoy every minute of it!
See you soon!

For God Is Good

Hello! My December holidays has started! This is a little video of our choir doing our sound check. Today I also wanted to share with you a song I wrote myself! I like to sing to God -- you can sing it too!

For God Is Good
Verse 1
I know everday, God is with me
He follows me everywhere, keeping me on the right path
As you sing this song, God is listening
Just believe in Him
Whatever you say, you can't stop Him from hearing

For I know God is with me, He'll never leave
Just have faith, follow Him and believe
Keep praising, don't ever stop

Verse 2
And you can tell your friends He's watching you and me
He's still watching, you and your family
It says in the Bible, John 3:16, to believe, yes believe!

Verse 3
Raise both hands and praise Him
The one and only God above
He hears your prayers and answers them
He died for our sins on the cross

Here we end, still praising God
Just remember our God above!

You can sing this song to any tune you want or even add your own lyrics!
Bye for now!

My Big Choir Performance

Hi! Today I will share with you my big choir performance. It was our choir's Advent Musical! Here I am in the middle of the sound check. We always have sound checks before service to test the sound equipment and practice a little.

In our Advent musical we had to sing tons of hymns and carols. The story we were acting out was the birth of the baby Jesus! As you can see, I played the part of an angel. The angels announce the birth of baby Jesus to the shepherds. I had to wear a long white tunic, a halo on my head, and wings on my back! During the performances, we had to go barefoot.

Here I am again next to our church photographer. I was looking at the pictures he had taken of the choir, and I saw the ones with me in it! But the pictures in this post are from my Mom's camera. Here you can see a bit of my wings. The halo looks like it's sort of floating above my head, doesn't it? It used to be on a white hairband, but my Mom painted everyone's hairband black so it would blend in nicely with our hair.

Here I am shown posing for Mom's camera. I am kneeling next to the three prop sheep. Did you know the sheep are made of toilet paper with googly eyes?
I had a great time even though it was quite exhausting!
Bye till the next post!

Books, Books And More Books!

Hello again! Today I am going to share with you my love for reading! One of my favourite books is the Geronimo Stilton and Creepella Von Cacklefur series. I have talked about one of the books in this series in my earlier post.

I love reading because you can learn many interesting things. In the series of books Natural Disasters, for example, you can learn about disasters around the world, such as tornadoes, volcanoes, hurricanes etc. Or in The Usborne Detective's Handbook you learn how to be a good detective. Now I know how to question suspects, detect forged paintings and be more observant!

Sometimes I like to read fiction because even though they are not real, it is still fun to read about the adventures the characters in the book have. Rainbow Magic and the Just Grace series are good examples (I have also talked about these books in my older posts here and here).

Books can sometimes be an entertainment when you are waiting or bored. For example, you are going to get your ears pierced and one of the people working at the clinic tells you, "It is very crowded today, please sit down until the doctor calls you", and you just happen to be carrying your library book to return after you pierce your ears. So you can take out the book and reread it and by the time you are done, the doctor calls you in. You see how books can be a big help?

You can be a big help, too. If you have books you don't need or like anymore you can donate them to children from less fortunate families or countries who don't have enough money to buy their own books. But don't read too much or else you will have to wear glasses. And it is not good to wear glasses -- only sunglasses. OK?!? OK, I'm sure you know that, but still.

Competition Time!!!
Here is a picture of the big bookshelf that my Mom and I share. It is actually made up of several bookshelves and takes up a whole wall because it is quite huge. It is filled with the books that we read. The pictures in this post are just two small parts of it.

1. If you want to know more about books, you can comment on my blog and ask me. If you're lucky, your question and your name might come up in the next post with your answer!
2. If you know a fun fact about books or a fun fact that you learnt from reading a book, you can comment on my blog and tell me, and your fun fact and name might appear in my next post!

Don't forget to read lots like me (but not too much!) and get smarter!
Bye for now!

Go, Alice, Go!

Hi! Today I'm going to share with you a fictional story written by me! The story is called Go, Alice, Go!

Go, Alice, Go!

Once upon a time, there lived a little girl named Alice. Every day she went to school and studied hard. But she loved sports and gym best of all, even though she wasn't always the best. Then, before she knew it, it was Sports Day!
In Alice's class there was a mean girl named Bethany. Bethany was a big girl who often did well in sports. She was boastful, and liked to say unkind, hurtful things that made the other girls feel bad. No one really liked her, but they were afraid of her because she was big, so they let her bully them and say the mean things she did.

On Sports Day, Alice's class was ready for the race. Bethany was boasting as usual; she was very confident and she wanted to win the 1st prize -- a gold medal.

Alice was a kind girl; she didn't like the mean girl Bethany, but she didn't say anything mean about Bethany. Alice wanted to win the medal too. But Alice wondered, "How will I ever win the medal with Bethany here?" Bethany looked so big and strong.

At that moment, Bethany came by and hissed nastily in Alice's ear, "You'll never win. I'll get that medal and nobody touches it!"

"Oh no!" thought Alice. She started to feel afraid and lose all her confidence. But then she shook herself, and told herself that she must be brave and just do her best. She was not going to let a bully frighten her! She remembered what her mother had told her from the Bible -- to forget what lies behind and press on toward the goal.

The race started. Bethany ran ahead of Alice, but with a burst of energy, Alice caught up and called to her, "I know you want the medal, but I want it too and I'll win it!".

"No you won't!" Bethany yelled back angrily.

But Alice gathered up all her courage and said, "You don't need to be mean to get things, you know. You just need to try hard and do your best and don't be sad if you don't get what you want, but just try harder next time!"

"Go, Alice, go!" cheered Alice's friends. They were amazed that the little girl was running so fast.

And with that, Alice ran ahead of Bethany and won the gold medal!

Bethany came in second, but she was busy thinking about what Alice had said.

"Alice was right," Bethany said to herself, "I don't need to be mean. No wonder everyone doesn't like to be around me!". Bethany had learnt her leason!

Bethany turned to Alice with a nervous smile. "I'm sorry," she said. "Do you think, maybe... Well, could we be friends? Or maybe best friends?"

Alice chuckled and gave Bethany a hug. Alice replied, "Best friends it is. Forever!"

"Forever, and ever!" said Bethany happily. "I won't be mean again!"

The two girls laughed and walked away together, admiring each other's beautiful medals. And in the end, all of Alice's classmates loved being with Bethany, especially Alice!
The End

Competition Time!
To get a special mention in my blog, just leave a comment with the correct answer to any of the questions here!
 1. In the beginning, was Bethany a nice girl?
 2. Who won the medal?
 3. Does Alice study hard and try her best?
 4. Did Alice like Bethany in the end?
 5. Did all of Alice's classmates like Bethany in the end?
 6. Was Bethany a mean girl anymore?

Wonderful God

ballet exam today

Hi again! Today I am going to share with you a story of how God has helped me a lot in my life, and a small prayer that I like to pray which you can pray too.

The Story
One day, I was about to have my first ballet exam. The exam is held by the Royal Academy of Dance, or RAD.

Before the exam started, my classmates and I were practicing the steps we would have to do during the exam.

When the teacher called me and a few of my friends in to do the exam, I started to feel all funny -- strange, scared and excited all at the same time!

There were people from the RAD Examinations Board sitting at a table. They looked nice, but also very serious! As they gave me instructions, I suddenly started to feel less scared and worried. I felt that God was trying to tell me something. I could hear a voice in my head saying, "Don't worry. Just concentrate, and do the exercises properly. Then get a gold for the exam and never be scared or worried about any exam, or anything else, again".

So I just danced and did all the steps I'd been practising. Two months later I got the results. They put a "D" next to my name on the results list. For a moment my Mom and I thought it meant I'd done badly. But it turned out that "D" stood for "distinction" -- and I got my gold! God really helped me that day.

The End.

My Prayer
Dear God, I pray you will help me to always be strong and be a good Christian.
I pray You will forgive me for all the things I have done wrong and teach me to not make those mistakes again. I thank You that You are always merciful and faithful to forgive me.
Thank You for blessing us so much and that I live such a wonderful life.
Thank You for giving me such a happy, loving and super-fun family.
Please teach me how to do the right things.
In Jesus' name I pray, amen.

My Sylvanian Chronicles

Let's visit the Sylvanian nursery today! If you recall, it is upstairs of the classrooms. The three babies -- Molly Mouse's brother, Baby Mouse; Baby Badger, Edward Badger's brother; and Harland Sheepdog's brother, Baby Sheepdog -- are playing a game Baby Mouse made up. It's called Puppet/Doll Catching. Basically, the catcher will try to catch the other players' puppet or doll.

On the left is Mrs Siamese Cat and Baby Siamese Cat Ella. Matron is helping Mrs Siamese Cat to take care of Baby Ella. They like to chat about books and crafts, and whatever they might be watching on TV.

On the right is Lolly Cat practicing her very first piano concerto that she titled The Sylvanian World. Lolly has been trying to get the notes right for about two weeks and she is almost ready to perform it for all the other Sylvanians. Lolly still has four more notes to get right before she finishes her song The Sylvanian World!

Everyone in the Sylvanian nursery and the rest of the Sylvanian village is having an awesome time. See you super-soon!

My Holiday Adventure

Hello! How are you? I was away on a little holiday! It was so much fun! I got to do a lot of things that I enjoyed very much. For instance, I did a lot of crafts! Here I am working on my magazine! This magazine set was a holiday gift from my Mom. It is a Hello Kitty magazine maker with tons of pages, a ribbon to hold the magazine together, glitter pens, a black felt-tip pen, a few stamps and an ink pad, and, of course, the magazine cover! Here I am using a tissue to clean off the stamp I just used.

Then I went ice-skating in one of my favourite malls. It was really fun! This is me before I tried skating properly. It was really slippery and I kept falling down. But in the end I managed to get the hang of it and it became easier. After awhile I could skate around and across the entire rink without falling.

I had an awesome breakfast every morning. Here I am finishing my big mug of hot chocolate! It tasted delicious. I love chocolate so of course, if you ask me, this is one of my favourite drinks! Besides hot chocolate, here's a list of what was on my plate before I gobbled them up:
 1) Papaya
2) Scrambled Eggs
3) Sausages
4) Bread and Butter
5) Ham
6) Mushrooms
Doesn't that sound tasty?

hot choc

I also went swimming every day! This is me in my goggles and swimsuit. When I wasn't swimming in the big pool, I would be in the baby pool playing with my little sister. One game she made up was called There's A Shark In The Pool

To play the game, somebody has to be the shark. When the shark is asleep, the other player(s) will be the mermaids and they will swim around the pool. But when the shark wakes up, all the mermaids must quickly swim out of the pool. Whoever the shark catches will be the next shark. It was really fun playings Sharks!

I also did a lot of shopping! This is me in another of my favourite malls. Here I am posing in a big space where people and kids can run around or relax on the benches. I like to run here and play Catch with my little sister.

I hope you've been having a super week too! See you soon!

Hello! Let me introduce you to Sophie! She is one of my cats! She is a Maine Coon cat, and as you can see, she is quite big; she is about 91cm long. Maine Coons are one of the largest cat breeds and they have long coats. My Mom has to comb her or the fur will knot. Sophie is very strong and heavy. She likes talking with us, and when she meows, it sounds like a chirp!

Sophie is sitting on a cardboard house that my Mom made for the cats from two big diaper cartons. They are connected and have a doorway inside. Sophie is a very shy, gentle cat. She is a cat who is pretty hard to get to calm down and sit on your lap, but she is very affectionate and if she knows you well, she will sit next to you and ask to be stroked and cuddled. Sophie is about 4 years old, which my Mom says is about 32 years in human years.

I love playing with Sophie, even if she runs away sometimes.
Goodbye for now!

My Science Project

My class had to do a science project to find out if kidney beans need light to germinate. We were told to put our beans in two containers with wet cotton wool. We had to put one container in sunlight, and the other one in a dark place with no light at all. These are pictures of my plants on the last two days of the experiment.

This picture shows what the plant in the sunlight looked like on the second last day. At first, I was very excited to do the experiment because I love science. Soon I found out that almost the entire project, besides planting the beans, was just waiting.

Here is my sunlight plant on the last day of the experiment. As you can see, in just one day it put out a whole new shoot! As you can see, there are leaves starting to grow already. I was very happy and I was squealing with excitement running around the house showing the plant to all my family members.

This is the plant without light on the last day. I had kept it in a little cupboard. It had grown, but the shoots were all white! It also didn't have any leaves. I am still surprised that it grew even when it didn't have light. But my Mom told me that it probably wouldn't last too long.

I asked my Mom why the plant in the sunlight was nice and green. She said it was because of something called photosynthesis. This is when green plants get energy from sunlight and make it into sugar. They need it to grow. The green colour comes from chlorophyll, which is what absorbs the sunlight. My Mom said that if the plant doesn't get sunlight, then it cannot make chlorophyll and will finally die. She said plants also need other things like minerals and carbon dioxide to grow, and without sunlight, a plant can't get those things. I guess the poor plant in the cupboard didn't get to do all this.

Isn't nature and science amazing? I had a lot of fun doing the project.
See you at the next post!

Just Grace

Hi again! This series of books is called Just Grace by Charise Mericle Harper. It is about an 8-year-old girl named Grace. She is called "Just Grace" because there are three other Graces in her class! The three Graces are: Grace F., Gracie (Gracie calls herself that because she doesn't like Grace) and Grace W. If each Grace didn't have a nickname, then they wouldn't know which Grace the teacher, Miss Lois, is calling!

My Mom told me that in Roman and Greek myth, there really are Graces. They were supposed to be goddeses of beauty and nature and other nice things. People usually say that there were three Graces, but sometimes there were more.

This book here is Just Grace And The Snack Attack. In this book Grace learns about different foods and cultures, and also makes and tastes food! This book also shows you how to make your own zine (a type of book/magazine which you make out of one piece of paper)! If you want to find out fun facts on food and how to make your own zine read this book now!
See ya real soon!

My Sylvanian Chronicles

Let's see what's happening with the Sylvanians today! Here we are in the courtyard of Willow Hall, the first house. Here you can see the three of the kids, Molly Mouse, Rudolph Reindeer and Lulu Deer, having breakfast. There are eggs, sandwiches, pancakes, fruit and hot chocolate. The kids always have very good breakfasts. It is an important meal of the day! In the background is Mr Charcoal getting his breakfast. Mrs Charcoal is standing next to him, taking care of the candy cart. Mrs Chihuahua is helping with the pastries and sandwiches.

Over in the school, Columbus Sheep is giving his presentation in Mrs Raccoon's class. He is talking about woodpeckers. Did you know that woodpeckers can peck up to 20 times per second? It really is wonderful how God created animals like that. Beatrice Reindeer is very intrested in his presentation because she loves birds. She thinks it must be lovely to be able to fly and peck things.

Izzy Monkey is wondering how a woodpecker can peck so many times in a second, and why they never seem to get tired of pecking. Rachel Rabbit is hoping to see a woodpecker flying somewhere in Sylvania so she can take a picture of it and show it to the class. Nora Raccoon is about to put up her hand to ask a question about the woodpeckers but she forgot what she was going to say.

The Sylvanians are having a superb day today.
Bye 'till the next post!

My Ballet Class!

Yesterday my ballet class had an open house, which meant that everyone's parents could come in and watch us! I was a bit nervous at first because all the parents were watching me and my friends, but after awhile it just felt like my usual class. Here are some pictures of what happens in my class!

Here I am at the barre! The barre is the wooden rail on the ballet studio wall. We do many exercises at the barre and our teacher checks our posture and our turnout. Turnout is how our legs turn out from our hips, so that our knees and feet turn outward. It must be done at the hips, not the feet. Good turnout is very important for good ballet technique. Our barre exercises always start with plies. This is where we bend our knees while keeping our backs straight. It is a bit difficult for me to keep my body straight while bending. Next picture!

We do many exercises on the floor too. They help us stretch and practice pointing our toes well. In this picture we have to lie on our tummies and lift each of our legs straight up. Later we will lie on our backs and lift our legs. Next picture!

This is me practising my splits! Doing splits makes us more flexible and helps us stretch as much as possible. Next picture!

More stretching!

Here we are practising pointing our feet. Ballet dancers must point their feet well so that they look long and graceful. We must practise to have a high arch in our feet so that our point looks pretty. We do a lot of exercises so that our feet and legs become stronger and stronger. Ballet dancers need strong legs so they don't get injured. I am still practicing how to turn out my foot well when I point. Next picture!

Here I am listening to my teacher and doing the last exercise before class ends. My teacher is really nice. I pay attention to her especially since my next ballet exam is coming up soon! My Mom said I did a very good job and I can't wait till the next class! See you at the next post!

My Sylvanian Monkey Family

Today I'm going to talk about my Sylvanian Monkey famliy! Standing at the back are Mr and Mrs Monkey. They are a very happy couple who love chit-chatting and doing things with other Sylvanians! Mr Monkey is thinking about how well dressed he is and that he picked just the right suit to wear for the photograph. He is a very neat monkey and is the best men's tailor in the village.

Mrs Monkey is quite excited to have her picture taken, but she is thinking more about the banana pies she is going to make for dinner tonight. All the Sylvanians love Mrs Monkey's fruit pies. On the left is Martha Monkey, Izzy Monkey's sister, and Melody Monkey's twin. Martha Monkey is wishing she could put her baby brother down because her arm is getting tired. Martha Monkey is a delightful little monkey who is about 5 years old. She loves all sorts of games, toys and sports. She does not like wearing skirts.

Marble Monkey the baby is about 3 months old and he loves milk, painting and biscuits.

Melody Monkey is trying to get everybody to stop moving and smile for the camera. She is a very girly monkey who loves dresses, fairy tales, and making paper flowers. She is a happy little monkey who just loves seeing other Sylvanians smile and having a happy time.

All the way on the right is Izzy Monkey. Izzy Monkey is a kind little monkey who is 4 years old. Izzy Monkey loves art, strawberry jam and playing catch! He does not like sitting still.

The Monkey Family is a very happy family!
See you at the next post!

My Sylvanian Siamese Cat Family

I am going to talk about my Sylvanian Siamese Cat Family! Here is a picture of them. Standing at the back are Mr and Mrs Siamese Cat. Mr and Mrs Siamese Cat love cooking and eating fish stew! Mr Siamese Cat has his own catfish farm and Mrs Siamese Cat loves sewing and embroidery.

In front of Mr Siamese Cat is Elina, and in front of Mrs Siamese Cat is Erica, her twin. Elina is a lovable cat who is about 7 years old. She loves art, badminton and baking! She is a tiny bit older than Erica, by about 3 minutes, Mrs Siamese Cat says. Erica also loves badminton, watching movies and running around! She is much more rowdy than Elina. In this picture, Erica is carrying their baby sister Ella, who is about 4 months old. Ella loves naptime, milk, watching her older sisters play badminton, and drawing!

The Siamese Cat parents are very neat and organised. They even have their own timetable! Here is their timetable:

9:00am - 9:30am -- Breakfast
9:30am - 10:45am -- Playtime
10:45am - 12:00pm -- Watch TV

The Siamese Cat Family is a very happy family!
Bye till the next post!

My Sweets!

swt shop

Now I'm going to talk about my sweets! Do these candies look real to you? If you thought they were real, you were wrong! These candies and biscuits are painted clay -- they were made by my Mom! I like to pretend I am selling my candies to my family members. My candies looked so real to my sister that she almost bit into one of my clay marshmallows! Now let's look at the pictures.

Picture 1 is what my candy store looks like from the top (my Mom made my candy store too)! It is called "R's Confectionery Shoppe". You can see the shopping bags that my mother made from old magazines. She stamped each one with a cat that says "Thank you very much" in French!

My Mom also made the shop sign and trays for me to keep my fake candies in. My grandfather made a little lock thing for my shop doors with ice-cream sticks and rubber bands. It keeps the doors shut when the shop is closed. When the shop is open, the doors open out like gates!

Picture 2 on the right shows a part of my shop. You can see a bit of my shop sign on the "tiled" wall. This picture shows you my twisted candy sticks, mint and strawberry hearts, pink marshmallows, and blossom tarts.

Picture 3 shows the hearts, marshmallows, and my chocolate and vanilla sables (they are a type of French cookie). Picture 4 shows the blossom tarts and my mint and chocolate clover cookies.

Picture 5 shows you my berlingots (berlingots are a type of French hard candy made with sugar and whatever flavours you like) and my gumballs! People always want to buy the gumballs!

When customers come to my shop, I ask them politely what they would like, and they tell me which sweet they want and how many. I put their order carefully into my paper bags, then I calculate their total bill on my calculator. They pay me with pretend money. My sister spends a lot at my shop -- she is already a member!

Bye for now!

My Sylvanian Chronicles

It's another lovely day! Let's see what's happening with the Sylvanians! Here are Hester Honeyfox, Charlotte Elephant, Victoria Rabbit and Rebecca Rabbit having a picnic in the courtyard. Charlotte Elephant is about to take a piece of baguette. Hester Honeyfox is having a croissant. Rebecca Rabbit has already had her jam sandwiches. Now she is just relaxing and enjoying the smell of the flowers.

Victoria Rabbit is telling Hester Honeyfox about how she is going to audition for the Sylvanian Cheerleading Contest. Victoria is a very good jumper! Behind the girls is Dulcie Sheep, Rebecca Rabbit's twin sister, Rachel Rabbit, and Mrs Elephant. Mrs Elephant is taking care of the candy cart for the day. Rachel Rabbit is wondering if she should get the cheese crackers or lollipos. It's hard to decide when there are so many good things to choose from!

Can you see the tennis rackets on the picnic blanket? They belong to Elina and Erica the Siamese Cats. Elina and Erica are twins and they just love sports. They are going to take part in the Sylvanian Sports Contest that is held every summer!

Here we see one of the Sylvanian classes in session! Today Mr Raccoon is teaching and Mikaela Renard is giving her presentation on bats. She is telling the class that bats use echolocation to find their prey in complete darkness, and are the only mammals who can really fly. Mikaela is Victoria Rabbit's BFF. The two of them always go for cheerleading practice together.

Rufina Charcoal Cat is thinking that she should learn more about bats. Cats love things that fly! Emily Otter is paying a lot of attention to Mikaela because she is a super animal lover and she wants to learn more about them. She would like to be a doctor for baby animals when she grows up. Emily is Rufina's BFF; they always play skipping and catch at recess.

Isabel Cat (the one at the end of the row) is getting ready to clap for Mikaela. Isabel is very cheerful and she always tries to help and make other Sylvanians happy. The classroom was filled with joy today!

Here's what the kids look like! They are all paying great attention to Mikaela's presentation. Melody Monkey is very, very, very interested because she has never met a bat before and she would like to know more about them. Melody Monkey has a brother named Izzy, and a sister named Martha. Melody Monkey is also Mikaela's BFF.

Beatrice Reindeer is stting next to Melody. She thinks that bats sound very exciting, but that the Vampire ones are a little scary. Mikaela said that Vampire bats drink mammals' blood, and Beatrice knows that she is a mammal. Beatrice is Lulu Deer's BFF. Beatrice and Lulu always play a game with the other Sylvanian kids called "Catch The Deer".

Jasper Beagle is the little dog at the end of the row. He is very excited because he loves flying animals like owls, butterflies, eagles etc. Jasper Beagle has a little sister named Stella. Stella and Jasper always play fetch with Melody Monkey and "Catch The Deer" with Beatrice and Lulu Deer.

See ya at the next post!

Allie Finkle

This series of books is called Allie Finkle's Rules For Girls by Meg Cabot. Meg Cabot is the same author who wrote The Princess Diaries! It was made into a movie; have you seen it? The Allie Finkle series is about a girl named Allie and her two irritating brothers, Mark and Kevin. The book on top, Best Friends And Drama Queens, is about a new girl who joins Allie's class! Allie is excited at first, but the new girl, Cheyenne, soon becomes a bully. Cheyenne tries to make the whole class obey her and do everything in the same mature way she does. Allie is so upset that everyone, even her best friends, are becoming just like Cheyenne. Allie decides to stand up for herself no matter how many times Cheyenne tries to tell her what to do. What will happen next? Read the book to find out more!

Rainbow Magic

Now I shall tell you about my Rainbow Magic books. As you can see, they are very colourful! Here are just a few of them, but there are tons in this whole series. They are about all sorts of different fairies, like music fairies, weather fairies, dance fairies, ocean fairies, etc. The cover says these books are written by Daisy Meadows, but they are actually written by a bunch of different people. My Mom said they are called ghostwriters!

I'm going to talk about the book Sophie the Sapphire Fairy. The nasty Jack Frost hates summer so he decides to take all the magic gems from the Jewel Faries and hide them in the human world. The fairies' friends, Rachel and Kirsty, try to help, and they find out that Sophie's gem is hidden somewhere in the Tippington Town fountain! Without Sophie's sapphire, all the wishes little children wish will not come true! Will they find it and bring it back to Fairyland, or will the gem remain in the icy hands of Jack Frost? Read the book to find out for yourself!

If you're thinking of getting books from this series, or want to know more about them, ask me!

Creepella von Cacklefur

I thought I would share some of my books with you! This is the Creepella von Cacklefur series by Geronimo Stilton. My Mom said that Geronimo Stilton is not the real name of the author, and that the real author is an Italian lady. Well, I had guessed anyway that they were not written by a mouse.

Creepella von Cacklefur is Geronimo Stilton's enchanting and mysterious friend. She has a pet bat named Bitewing. Her father runs a funeral home and the family owns the creepy Cacklefur Castle. The book here is The Thirteen Ghosts. Creepella wants to be a journalist! She wants to write and publish a story in The Shivery News! The title of her article is The Secret Life of the Ghosts of Mysterious Valley.

Creepella decides to go to a haunted mansion to interview some ghosts. On the way, she meets the famous writer, Billy Squeakspeare, who has inherited the mansion. Billy is too afraid to go inside alone, so Creepella and her niece Shivereen lead the way. Are the ghosts inside friendly or frightening? Read the book to find out for yourself!
See you at the next post!

My Sylvanian Chronicles

So let's see what's happening with the Sylvanians today! Here are some of the Sylvanian kids having lunch. They're waiting for their class to start. Today it looks like the girls decided to have lunch together. Lucy Polar Bear is telling all the girls a story about some snowmen who build a castle made of ice. She is at a very exciting bit right now. Lucy Polar Bear is a kind bear who loves telling stories and eating salmon (though today she is having strawberry custard).

The two girls, Sonia Grey Rabbit and Margo Cat are talking about Lucy Polar Bear's ice-fishing story from yesterday. Polar bears come from the arctic as you might know. Sonia Grey Rabbit is a bunny who loves playing on the piano and eating carrots and raisins. Margo Cat is a talkative little cat who loves going to school and trying to solve riddles. Margo Cat loves to eat chicken drumsticks and cabbage.

Lulu Deer, Nora Raccoon and Merry Rabbit are eating their food while listening to Lucy Polar Bear's snowman story. Lulu Deer is a happy little fawn who loves skipping and watching the cheerleaders practice. Nora Raccoon is a serious little girl who loves reading and painting. You can see how seriously she is listening. Sometimes she likes to just be by herself, but she is always ready to be a good friend! Merry Rabbit is a another happy little bunny who loves hopping around and having science lessons. She is a great expert on insects, especially grasshoppers. Merry Rabbit loves eating vegetables and strawberries! All of them can't wait for lessons to start!

Now let's have a look at the next picture!

Here Owl is taking care of some of the kids in class. They are learning about their sense of smell! Owl is a smart little owlet who loves playing with other Sylvanians. He loves to eat tomatoes and carrots. Today, he is being the teacher's assistant. He just loves helping others and making new friends!
On to the last picture!

Here's what the kids look like. As you can see, they are a little afraid of Owl and pay attention to him very carefully. ChiChi Chihuahua (the white dog on the left)is using her super sense of smell to smell Owl's handmade cookies. Maxie the cat is smelling Owl's flowers and trying to identify what plant it is. Edward Badger is waiting for his turn to test his sense of smell. At the end of the row is Elina the Siamese Cat who is also waiting her turn. She looked straight at the camera when I took the photo!

See you again real soon!

These are our Totoros!! Let me introduce them. The big light grey one at the back is the oldest; he belongs to my Mom. The blue one is my little sister's. The medium sized dark grey one is mine. These are their names:

Big grey one -- Oh Totoro
Medium blue one -- Chu (ch-oo) Totoro
Medium dark grey one -- Kage (ka-gay) Totoro (I call my Totoro Kage because it means "shadow" in Japanese)

The story of My Neighbor Totoro is about what happens when two sisters, Satsuki and Mei Kusakabe, move into their new house with their father, Tatsuo. Their mother, Yasuko is ill and has to stay in the hospital. At their new house, Mei discovers the magical world of the forest spirits, the Totoros. "Totoro" is not really their name; it is the name Mei gives them. When she first meets the big grey Totoro and asks him what his name is, he roars, "DO-DO-ROOOAAR!!!". So Mei said his name is "Totoro".

This is my Totoro storybook. It tells the whole Totoro story. The picture on the left is the cover, and the picture on the right is one of the pages in the book. Here you can see Mei following the little white Totoro. Later, the little white Totoro and Chu Totoro try to sneak away while Mei is looking for them under the house. Chu Totoro is carrying a sack of acorns.

The great thing about this book is that it is full of pictures from the movie, so we can stare at all the cute characters as long as we like! In the book, it says that the big Totoro is about 1300 years old and almost 7 feet tall! The medium blue Totoro is about 600 years old. And the little white Totoro is about 100. The next time I will show you a picture of the Cat Bus.

Go see My Neighbor Totoro if you haven't yet! I'm sure you will love it as much as I do! Bye for now!

My Sailor Ghost

Hello again! Today I'm going to talk about my Sailor Ghost. Sailor Ghost was made by my Mom. Sailor Ghost is 6 years old. There is another one in my Mom's shop if you want one. She says Sailor Ghost is a sweet fellow who loves the sea and cucumber sandwiches (naturally, he sometimes lapses into French).

His BDF is Blanche. Blanche is 7 years old. She a kind and lovable doll who was also made by my Mom. Sailor Ghost's other BDF is Behemoth. Behemoth is 5 years old. Behemoth is a really a happy fellow who loves lounging about on things and saying "Raaagh". His favourite food is strawberry shortcake and chocolate cookies. Sailor Ghost is super friendly, and whenever you need a hand he'll be there. If you can't find Sailor Ghost in my house, he is probably flying above your head!

I've gotta go now, see ya soon!

My Lalaloopsy Doll

Now I will introduce you to my Lalaloopsy doll, Tippy Tumbelina! Lalaloopsy dolls were once rag dolls; they magically came to life when their last stitch was sewn! Tippy is a fun-loving doll who was made from a ballerina's tutu. Tippy is 7 years old. She is a kind, pretty, honest and funny little doll. She loves to act, sing and dance, and she has a pet swan! Her favourite food is anything pink, such as, peaches, marshmallows, etc. Here, Tippy is wearing a homemade dress. Her stage dress is much more fluffy and sparkly.

Tippy's BDF is Serafina Featherbed, another Lalaloopsy doll (I renamed her Serafina because Pillow Featherbed made her sound like a pillow). Pillow is a girl who loves naptime -- she was made from a baby's blankie -- but she always wakes up in time to play with her friends! Tippy's other BDF is Kage (Kage means shadow) Totoro ( I will tell you about this Totoro later). Tippy is the best actress in Lalaloopsy Land!

Bye for now!

My Monkey

Well, since I am at home today, I will write about some of my toys! This is Monkey. I sleep with him every night. He is 6 years old. Monkey loves to swing on my imaginary vines. I think dolls are real and that they have actual feelings too. His BDF (BDF stands for Best Doll Friend) is Huggy Bear. Huggy Bear is an adorable little bear who loves hugs. He is quite old; my Mom bought him with her pocket money when she was my age!

Monkey's other BDF is Bear Bear. Bear Bear is a very old bear who is clever and kind. Monkey's favourite food is bananas as you might have guessed. He has a lot of patches on him because my Mom had to fix his holes. Monkey is a fussy, fun-to-play-with, kind, cute and generous little monkey. I know he looks a little worried, but he just likes to think a lot. I love playing with Monkey. I hope that if you have a monkey like mine, you would love playing with him too.

My Sick Day At Home

So today I could not go to school because I have a cold. My Mom had to bring me to the doctor. The doctor gave me medicine for it. One of them is called "Fedac" and he said it might make me sleepy. He wanted to give me two days' MC, but my Mom said no, one is enough.

I felt quite miserable because I will miss my friends and teachers and even being able to see the school logo like I do everyday. That is a picture of me holding my nose so I won't sneeze. I put my foot up because I didn't want my Mom to take a picture of me about to sneeze.

But anyway, as you can see, I will not let anything get me down! I'm still going to be the happy girl I am! Although I missed school today, I will still be able to go back when I feel better! Oh! In the background you can see two of my cats!

See ya soon!
